If all new members would kindly post their first message here and introduce yourselves, that would be happy  Smiley

updated March 11, 2010: There has been a flood of spam recently, so if you are a real person who wishes to join this forum, please email:

earlysda
at
hotmail
dot
com

Please state your reason to join this forum so that i know you are not a spammer.  Even something very simple like: "I'm SDA", "I'm searching for truth" or something like that is OK.

I allow "non-standard" views, and of course even those with opposing views too, and know of only one member on the old forum i had to ask to cease-and-desist, as they hijacked every post and turned it to "anti-trinity" teaching.

It would be great to have your input on things pertaining to our walk to the celestial city!

I'm Daniel Winters, the earlysda.com site webmaster.  I was raised in Tennessee, lived 15 years in Japan, 1 1/2 years in Thailand, and mostly travelling the last 3 years or so spreading the original edition of The Great Controversy Between Christ and His Angels, and Satan and His Angels in the various languages.  It is currently in around 27 languages.  Since July 2009 i have been in India, trying to find ways to get the above-mentioned book into a 3D animation movie.

If you wish to see my blog, it is at:
www.great-controversy-movie.com/blog

Any advice or comments on this book/book work or anything related to Jesus Christ and his end-time remnant - Seventh-day Adventists, would be very much appreciated  Smiley

I'm NB (newbie),
I tried to log in with my old name and did it as a log in not thinking real sharp tonight after a long day.  So, when it did not recognize me I realized my error.  So, when I tried to register it said that my name was already taken...  yeah, I messed up.  So, I just shortened it to NB....  but it is still the same ol' same ol' me.   Tongue

Did 3 years of door to door cold knock work and canvassed almost 2,000 homes.  Still want to finish the work but these towns are changing the rules each year on this work.  Others have been scamming the people and it has made it harder for us.    When ever an opportunity presents itself I hand out literature as the HS of God moves on my heart.  I have a collection of short paperbacks and also KJV NT and book of John.  Supportive in evangelistic outreaches...  our church had a booth at the fair this last week and this Tues. night a prophecy series on the 2300 days.

Brother Daniel....  is it possible to post the new link for this forum on the old link.  My old link still comes up instead of the new one.  This one has wonderful possibilities but I'd like to see the active members come here too.

Good advice!  I just put up a post about this forum on my blog at: http://great-controversy-movie.com/blog/?p=265

Nice to see you here Agape-san.  I'm sending you some 2010 calendars, i think the best that have ever been done in SDA circles ever.  Of course, i could be biased, because i had a part in creating it Smiley  The sunset times are for Indian cities, but other than that, i think you will enjoy it.

Hope we can help encourage and rebuke and exhort each other to stay on the narrow path all the way to the heavenly city.

Cool This is fun Dan-san, to talk with you again.  Grin

This reply mask window doesn't allow me to insert smileys from my harddrive file.
pity that... [img ]    [ /img]  code means I ought to insert a http:// url, right?
I love decorating with pictures but I forgot how to with the UBB code.

I am doing well, thanks to Him, despite evil demon harassment's that come and go.
All in all I'm in good spirits of contentment with God's blessings at present.

I do so like it when we in Christ encourage one another with good words and kindnesses.
As a matter of fact my silence your way has never diminished the heartfelt wish that all goes well with you and you have good moments of success and achievements.

Grin Yeah, Newbie... I like being in a Forum with you. I like your way of thinking.

Your NB display name, if I may say without being mean,  is not attractive, but reminds me of some supermarket brand to buy when going after discounts..... but I know from your explanation why it is as it is.

May I give instructions how to change it to a more lady-like name?

1. In any postings of yours just scroll over the icon (under your avatar) that lights up and says “view profile”. Click on that icon.

2. On the left-side column, click on the words “account related settings”.

3. In the middle of the new page is ….“this is the display name people will see”. Delete “NB” and add something unique instead like an OT or NT lady name or a name of something quirky. 'newbie' is old hat and this is a new forum needing a new hat.

4. Important now is to scroll down to the bottom line and insert your present Password.

5. Click on “Change Profile” and your new name sticks. You’ll see it on the old posts and on all new posts coming.

I tried what you said and it would not let me...   it said the name is taken...   that is when I messed up and signed in originally as a returning member rather than a new member....   Angry

NB.... like in En-Bee... Hi! how are you doing? It is so hard for me to keep up with all the various Forums but I do try to stay on the circuit carousal. Today is Danny's Forum on the loop up for lurking in.

I just finished reading Patriarchs and Prophets. Chapter for chapter. I took notes and uploaded them to my blog-forum-website. Tomorrow I will start the chapters of Patriarchs and Kings.

Whatever are you thanking for like in your last posting here? Garbage is the spammer posting spam, right? Is that what you are saying to Dan-san in your notes? He was able to take off the spammers bad postings?

Hi Agape,
Yes, the site has been attacked a few times and now things have changed.  One has to be personally approved in order to be on the forum.  You and I have been 'grandfathered' in.   Wink

I hadn't checked this site for a few days as i've been travelling, but i had 1 email notice that someone tried to register.  So i come here, and see that in the last week over 40 people have tried to register!  But with only 1 email notice???  So i deleted all except that one, and sent that one a personal email to ask if they really want to join.

This whole spammer thing is very tiring.  Why can't people just do unto others as they would want others to do to them?  Smiley

it is getting worse all over... everyday we can see how life has deteriorated for those outside of Christ.  It puts a strain on all of us....  we just have to keep looking up...
