On http://earlysda.com is the page showing what has been accomplished with God's leading so far in translations and the publishing of 1858 Great Controversy in the various languages.

In this list are those languages in which the book has been published :
Japanese, Polish, Spanish, Russian, Nepali, Korean, Hindi, Bengali, Vietnamese, Tamil, Ukrainian, Cebuano, Tagalog, Ilonggo, Ilocano, German, Malay, Georgian, Sinhala, Romanian, Thai

At present in these languages inroads have been made but translation problems have cropped up to delay any publishing:
Portuguese, Mongolian, Chinese

Prayer:
Our Father in heaven, glory be to your name. May the efforts of bringing words of prophecy into the native language to readers who have no Great Controversy book be sustained and implemented with your guiding force of influence. Out of love to you we ask especially for the last above mentioned tongues to be having soon willing workers for the translation job. I pray that you will give the right one for the translation the will-power to remain faithful and dedicated. I ask in faith according to the authority of Jesus, Christ my Lord, Amen.

The Tibetan translation is done, and the books printed, but there was some big mistake and the printer agreed to take back the books and print again.  But that was 3 years ago, and still the books have not been not printed again....

The Gujarati translation is done, but no funds to print the book.  In the same place, the Marathi translation is almost done (again!) but no funds to print.  The Tamil translation currently printed is not very good i'm told, and if we ever get funds to print again, will probably go back to the original translation which i'm told now is more faithful, if old-fashioned.  In this place in Pune, India, we have stored around 3,000 Tamil, 3,000 Punjabi, and 4,000 English books.  If my friend can sell these, then there would be plenty of funds to print the other languages.

Within the last 1/2 year, i met people who said they would translate the book into Kannada, and Indonesian.  So along with the on-going Armenian and Spanish translations, there should be 4 new translations coming out sometime this year.  The Portuguese translator got busy with other stuff, so is not working on this anymore it seems.

I'm hoping to meet people at the GC Session in Atlanta who are interested in translating this book into Chinese (for the 3rd time!), French, and Portuguese especially.  Please pray for God to impress hearts.

In one day i received emails from both the Armenian AND Spanish translators saying they have finished their respective translations - wow!  The Armenian translator mentioned how impressive the last chapters are, and the Spanish translator asked if i was ready to print.  That is great to hear - how the book is moving hearts, and how people are eager to spread the news Smiley

Now i have to make sure they get proofread, and then hope to print.
